Not only is Efficient Home Solutions owner David Rivera extremely active in the Heating & Air Conditioning Repair and Home Energy Efficiency fields all throughout Dallas, Plano and North Texas – he also care deeply about the community in which he lives and operates his business. David currently sits on the board of The Arc of Dallas, a group comprised of individuals in Collin, Dallas and Rockwall counties whose mission is to support and empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to improve their quality of life. 

The Arc recently announced that Sherry Wacasey will be leaving her position as Executive Director of The Arc – Collin, Dallas & Rockwall County at the end of the month. She has been with the organization since 1998, having been appointed Executive Director in 2005.

“We want to thank Sherry for her 15 years of Service to the Arc and wish her well on her future endeavors,” said Arc Board President Jennifer Kaplinsky. “The board’s continued focus as we move forward is to provide the programming our community needs and continue to secure a strong financial position for the agency. Our goal is to ensure that The Arc’s services to people with disabilities and their families are here for many years to come.”

Until a replacement is hired, the board has appointed The Arc’s Director of Information Services, Robert Eilers, to act as Interim Executive Director.

“It has been an incredible pleasure to serve alongside so many people who are dedicated to making life better for people with intellectual disabilities in the DFW area,” Wacasey said. “I have had so many positive experiences since joining The Arc. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
