The overall differences between Trane, Rheem, Amana, Goodman, Lennox and Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning Systems are very small.  Selling one brand over another can be difficult and often confusing to clients. These customers and clients can get frustrated and overwhelmed by large number of brands. It’s easy to understand how clients can become frustrated with contractors who don’t succeed in differentiating themselves from the others – resulting in these clients simply looking for the lowest bidder.

Efficient Home Solutions is a Dallas and Plano-based Heating and Air Conditioning Company whose focus is on Energy Efficient in Home or Office Comfort. EHS is family-owned and carefully managed with customer satisfaction as out main goal.

All our Service Engineers are trained by and consult with our Certified Energy Auditors to find performance issues within your Heating and Air Conditioning System’s that diminish its ability to achieve optimum energy efficiency, reliability, comfort and life expectancy.

Many of our clients call for AC repair-Dallas or AC repair-Plano because their AC system is not providing comfort or working properly. Once our experienced Service Engineers inspect their systems, they often find those inefficient systems simply need their AC ductwork sealed or AC ductwork replaced due to severe leaks, poor ductwork insulation and/or poor attic insulation.

According to EPA, a new HVAC duct system mounted in the attic or crawl space of a typical new home will be leaky. In fact, in typical new homes, about 20% of the air that moves through the duct system is lost in the attic or crawl pace due to leaks, holes, and poorly connected ducts. Just imagine what it is in older homes!  The result is higher utility bills and difficulty keeping the home comfortable, no matter where the thermostat is set.

If the leaks aren’t enough of a concern, there is the ductwork insulation. Poorly insulated ductwork will result in significant heat loss in the winter, causing your Plano furnace or Dallas heater to run longer and work harder to heat your home. The same is true in the summer; heat gain will cause your Plano AC or Dallas AC to run longer and work harder to achieve your desired comfort setting. Again, the result is higher utility bills in your mailbox and a Heating and Air Conditioning system that has a shorter life.

An additional byproduct of leaky AC and Heater ductwork systems is pressure imbalances in the home that can cause combustion appliances (water heaters,2nd, 3rd HVAC systems) and fireplaces to backdraft. This backdrafting can pull in CO from the home’s garage, furnace, or water heater closet and musty crawl space.  A leaking supply duct in the attic or crawl space can cause a home to be in a depressurized state while the system is in use. This depressurization will cause your home to pull in outside air from all openings, holes, leaks in weather stripping and attic access openings across home’s envelope.

If all your AC needs is some maintenance and energy efficiency enhancements we will let you know.  We won’t try to sell you a new system to compensate for other issues. Efficient Home Solutions and our trained Service Engineers are dedicated to providing you with Trusted Care For Your Heat & Air.
